Sunday Recap - Advance Missions Week2 - Ps Jonny Kettle

Advance Missions Week 2 - Who is your one?
Message Overview:
As a Church we join together in prayer and giving to see The Kingdom of God Advance through our mission partners. Across the world we are the answer to so many peoples prayers through our mission partners as they meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs through good news of The Gospel. However our responsibility doesn’t finish with our financial giving to our mission partners, we have each been given the individual responsibility to fulfil The Great Commission. Sunday was also Pentecost Sunday, a celebration of The Holy Spirit being poured out on the first believers and all believers ever since. Why was the Holy Spirit poured out? For the purpose of living fulfilling The Great Commission, preaching The Gospel and making disciples of Jesus.
Share with your Small Group who your one is and take time to pray for them together.
Key Scriptures:
| Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when The Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will by my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the Earth. Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. Luke 5:17-26 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the lawwere sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” 21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.” Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. |
